Display your Humanums badge on any WordPress post.

The free Humanums WordPress plugin adds verified human content badges to your posts. Enter a certificate code in the editor, and readers see proof that your writing is real — with a single click to verify.

Humanums editorial·
01

Add a certificate code in the post editor meta box and the badge appears automatically below (or above) your content.

02

Use the [humanums] shortcode or sidebar widget to place badges exactly where you want them.

03

Badge data is cached with WordPress transients so it never slows down your page loads.

§01

How it works

Write your content on humanums.com or with the Chrome extension. Certify it to get a short code like HM-7K2X-9M4N. Then open your WordPress post, paste the code into the Humanums Certificate meta box, and click Verify. The plugin fetches your certificate data and displays the badge on your published post.

Readers see a recognizable Humanums badge linking to a public verification page where anyone can confirm the certificate is valid.

§02

Flexible placement

By default the badge appears below your post content. You can change this to above the content or switch to manual mode and use the [humanums] shortcode to place it anywhere inside the post body. There is also a sidebar widget for displaying a badge in any widget area.

§03

Configurable appearance

Choose between inline, full, and compact badge sizes. Pick a dark or light theme to match your site design. Optionally show the human confidence score alongside the badge. Add a custom CSS class for further styling control.

§04

Privacy and performance

The plugin sends only the certificate code to the Humanums API — no user data, no post content, no visitor information. Certificate data is cached locally using WordPress transients with a configurable duration (default: 24 hours). Badge images load from the Humanums CDN with proper width and height attributes to prevent layout shift.

Frequently asked

Quick answers.

How do I install the plugin?

Upload the humanums folder to /wp-content/plugins/ or search for Humanums in the WordPress plugin directory. Activate it, then find the Humanums Certificate meta box on any post.

Do I need a Humanums account?

Yes. You write and certify content on humanums.com (or with the Chrome extension) to get a certificate code. The WordPress plugin displays the badge — it does not create certificates.

Is it free?

The WordPress plugin is completely free. Humanums offers a free tier with up to 3 certifications per month, plus paid plans for higher volumes.

Does it work with Gutenberg and the Classic Editor?

Yes. The certificate meta box works with both editors. The shortcode and widget work with any theme.

Will it slow down my site?

No. The plugin caches certificate data using WordPress transients. Badge images are loaded from the Humanums CDN. No API calls are made on every page view.
